How do I start collecting?

How long does it take?

Sometimes you send a collection letter and get a check the same month. Sometimes, you get a twenty-year-old judgment that’s been placed with 4 other firms and only now is ripe for collection.

Generally, Cuzzolina advises collecting a portfolio takes about 18 months. You may collect some cases before, or after the 18 month term, but the vast majority of cases, and the bulk of recoverable accounts, will be paid or at least paying within 18 months.

How much does it cost?

We have several retainer options available: hourly, contingency, and hybrid fee collection retainers. Often, we can collect the entire amount of your judgment and the debtor pays our attorneys fees.
